Internal Audit

Internal Audit function is an independent unit that reports directly to the Board of Directors. In addition to presenting reports at regular Board meetings, the Internal Audit function also reports immediately to the Audit Committee, the Chairperson, and the President when necessary, in order to uphold the principles of sound corporate governance.

Internal Audit Implementation Rules stipulate that Internal Audit shall review the internal controls governing Jentech’s operating procedures and report on whether the design and routine execution of such controls are appropriate for achieving the objectives of the internal control system. The internal control system and audit scope encompass all operations of the Company and its subsidiaries.

Audit work is primarily conducted in accordance with the audit plan approved by the Board of Directors, which is formulated based on identified risks. When necessary, project audits or reviews are also performed. The results from regular audits and project audits provide management with insights into the effectiveness of internal control functions and serve as an additional channel for timely understanding of existing or potential control deficiencies. Upon completion of audit procedures, Internal Audit issues written audit reports and follow-up reports, which are periodically submitted to the Audit Committee for review.

Internal Audit also reviews the self-assessment of internal control systems performed by each unit, including verifying whether the procedures were executed and examining relevant documentation to ensure quality. The results of these self-assessments, together with the improvements made regarding internal control deficiencies and irregularities identified by the Internal Audit function, form the basis for recommending that the Board of Directors, the Chairperson, and the President issue the Internal Control Statement.
